[Sony may further adjust its studios, and the Insomnia Group is facing pressure to reduce costs] The internal documents of the Insomnia Group recently leaked by hackers include not only game project and other related data, but also various meeting minutes. According to the contents of these documents, Sony plans to further adjust the size of its studios and may also close its first-party studios. It has not yet been confirmed whether these cuts have already occurred or are part of the plan, but since the leaked document shows a date of November 9, it is most likely the latter. As for the part about the insomnia group in the document, it may also be facing the pressure of significant budget cuts and plans to lay off about 50 to 75 people. The document disclosed that the company had internal discussions on how to respond to Sony's "strategic layoffs" request, and it is reported that the "Marvel Wolverine" and "Marvel Spider-Man 3" teams may be given priority. Many companies in the gaming industry have carried out large-scale layoffs in 2023. Previously, Naughty Dog, Media Molecule and Bungie, owned by Sony, also experienced layoffs.
