[The popularity of "Helldiver 2" caused server overload, and the director said that in-game purchases should be avoided as much as possible through P2W] The popularity of the multiplayer cooperative shooting game "Helldiver 2" continues. According to developer Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Johan Pilestedt (who is also the creative director of this game), the peak number of players playing simultaneously on the gaming PC and PS5 exceeded 360,000. The popularity of the game not only exceeded official expectations, but also caused server overload. As a result, many people were unable to log in to the game or were unable to receive rewards. In this regard, Johan Pilestedt promised that the team will do its best to solve these problems. In addition, Johan Pilestedt also discussed the issue of in-game purchases with players on social media. "Helldiver 2" is a game priced at $40, but it still provides additional paid items. However, players can also unlock some content through virtual currency earned in the game. Johan Pilestedt said: “We are working hard not to allow P2W (Pay To Win/Krypton Gold to Win) in the game. Although we need to provide some players with the power to pay for krypton gold, we must not force everyone.”
