Game History Today and Past: The 24th Anniversary of Sega’s legendary game “Shenmue: Chapter 1 Yokosuka” that was ahead of its time

[Game History Today and Today: The 24th Anniversary of Sega's legendary "Shenmue: Yokosuka" ahead of its time] 24 years ago today, Sega launched the most ambitious action-adventure game "Shenmue: Yokosuka" on DC 》. This work created by Yu Suzuki before the millennium is not only famous for its development cost of 7 billion yen, it is also the "pioneer of the open world" and the "originator of QTE" in the hearts of many players. Every detail in the game is extremely particular. Unfortunately, Sega failed to make a comeback with this work that was ahead of its time. However, many of its elements were inherited by the subsequent "Dragon Among Us". In 2017, Yu Suzuki presented "Shenmue 3" to fans who have been waiting for many years. Although there are many unsatisfactory aspects, this is indeed the sentiment of a generation of players. Sega announced reboots of many classic IPs at this year's TGA, including "Crazy Taxi" and "Doodleboy". I wonder if you would like to see those works reappeared in the future? (Such as "Light" series, "Sakura Wars" series, etc.)
