Pyro Archon – Marvicca
First up is the Pyro Archon from Natlan, Marvicca. As a newly introduced Archon, her stats are incredibly strong. Big numbers and burst damage have become the current meta, pushing many older DPS units out of relevance. As a top-tier main DPS, the Pyro Archon thrives across multiple team comps and is widely favored in the current meta.
Hydro Archon – Furina
Next is Furina, the Hydro Archon from Fontaine, who debuted in Version 4.2. Her versatility is top-notch, especially after unlocking her C2 constellation, allowing her to fit into nearly every team. In top-tier comps like Neuvillette teams or those featuring Skirk, Furina shines brilliantly. In the latest usage statistics, she ranks among the top – even surpassing characters like Skirk, Chiori, and the Pyro Archon in popularity, second only to Clorinde.
Dendro Archon – Nahida
Speaking of Sumeru’s Dendro Archon, Nahida, while she was once the core of Dendro teams, her usage has declined due to the inflation of power creep. Not long ago, her usage rate was barely hanging on, but now it has dropped to just 8.4%, which is quite surprising.
Raiden Shogun
Next is Inazuma’s Archon, Raiden Shogun. Like Nahida, several versions have passed since her debut. While her mechanics remain solid, her raw stats no longer keep up with the evolving meta. Her current usage rate is 10.7%, not far from Nahida’s.
Zhongli
As for Liyue’s Geo Archon, Zhongli, once the gold standard for shield support and known as the “useless character builder,” his dominance began to decline sharply with the release of characters like Chiori in 5.3. At one point, he maintained a solid 50% usage rate, but now that has dropped to just 26%, only slightly better than Raiden and Nahida.
Venti
Lastly, we have Mondstadt’s Anemo Archon, Venti. Being the very first Archon introduced, he fell out of the meta quite early on. These days, the only people still using him are devoted fans or lore lovers. Among the six Archons, his usage rate is the lowest, often even outperformed by other standard 5-star characters.
Conclusion
As of Version 5.7, with ongoing power creep and stat inflation, only the Hydro and Pyro Archons remain truly viable. The other four – Raiden Shogun, Zhongli, Nahida, and Venti – have all gathered at the same metaphorical table, as relics of a bygone era. What do you think, Travelers?
