Phlogiston Graffiti marks puzzle locations across Natlan's Toyac Springs. Complete six puzzles to obtain Broken, Graffiti-Marked Stones, then submit them to wall graffiti at underground Teticpac Peak. This unlocks Into the Painting... achievement and reveals a Pyroculus cave.
What is Phlogiston Graffiti in Natlan?

- Teleport, head northeast to windmill
- Operate lever at windmill base
- Rotate blades to match wall marking on nearby rock
- Common Chest spawns when aligned
- Collect Stone #1
No combat or special abilities needed. Alignment must be precise—continue adjusting until confirmation sound plays.
Location #2: People of the Springs Koholasaurus
Waypoint: North Teleport Waypoint in People of the Springs
Steps:
- Locate two Koholasaurs near Condensence Crystal by water
- Use Geo character to break crystal
- Indwell Koholasaurus
- Swim through water, collect three glowing blue bubbles
- Water level rises, chest spawns
- Exit Saurian form, collect Stone #2
Bubbles glow blue above water. Collection order doesn't matter.
Location #3: Sulfurous Veins Tepetlisaurus
Waypoint: Main Sulfurous Veins Teleport Waypoint
Steps:
- Head west from waypoint to cliff edge
- Glide down to cliff base
- Defeat Avatar of Lava enemy
- Indwell Tepetlisaurus at Spiritsconce
- Use normal attack on glowing ground circle
- Six Phlogiston rocks activate in sequence
- Chest spawns, collect Stone #3
Ground-pound activates all six rocks if positioned correctly in the circle.
Location #4: Basin of Unnumbered Flames Quenepa Berry
Waypoint: Statue of The Seven west of Stadium of the Sacred Flame
Steps:
- Head southeast from statue
- Pick Quenepa Berry from plant
- Find Bowl marked by squirrel graffiti on rock
- Place berry in Bowl
- Flying Squirrel appears and eats berry
- Chest spawns, collect Stone #4
No combat. Look for squirrel graffiti to locate Bowl.
Location #5: Ancestral Temple Yumkasaurus
Waypoint: Southeastern waypoint at Ancestral Temple
Steps:
- Head west, jump off cliff
- Glide to rock wall with orange Flamegranates
- Indwell Yumkasaurus at Spiritsconce by waterfall
- Use special skill to absorb Flamegranate
- Throw Flamegranate at rock wall
- Chest spawns on impact, collect Stone #5
Aim at wall where Flamegranates grow. Impact triggers chest.
Location #6: Ancestral Temple Anemo Slime
Waypoint: Northwestern waypoint at Ancestral Temple
Steps:
- Locate kamera device near slingshot graffiti
- Equip bow character
- Interact with kamera, enter aiming mode
- Shoot Anemo Slimes at graffiti targets (start from top)
- Slimes fly toward targets when shot
- Explosive marks appear, defeat spawned enemies
- Chest spawns, collect Stone #6
Bow characters only. Anemo Slimes act as projectiles.
Submitting All Six Stones
After collecting all stones:
- Teleport to underground Teticpac Peak waypoint
- Head northeast, jump down to wall graffiti
- Interact with wall graffiti to submit all six stones
- Hidden cave opens, revealing Pyroculus
- Into the Painting... achievement unlocks
Collect Pyroculus immediately—it counts toward Statue of The Seven progression.
Troubleshooting
Graffiti not appearing: Verify correct waypoint, check game version 5.0+, restart client if needed.
Progress not tracking: Stones are quest items (not in inventory). Achievement unlocks only after submission. Revisit locations to confirm chest collection.
Missing one stone: Systematically revisit all six locations. Ancestral Temple has two separate puzzles. Sulfurous Veins puzzle is at cliff base, not underground.
