Genshin Impact 6.0 Weapon Banner: Your Complete Pull Strategy Guide

The 6.0 weapon banner drops September 9-10, 2025, bringing nine new weapons including signature gear for Flins and Lauma. Here’s everything you need to know about rates, mechanics, and whether these weapons deserve your hard-earned primos.

What’s Actually Worth Your Attention in 6.0

Here’s the thing about version 6.0 – it’s massive. We’re getting nine new weapons in a single update, which honestly hasn’t happened since the game launched. That’s either exciting or overwhelming, depending on how you look at it.

The headliners are Bloodsoaked Ruins (Flins’ signature polearm) and Nightweaver’s Looking Glass (Lauma’s catalyst). But what caught my attention during testing is how universally applicable that catalyst turned out to be. More on that in a bit.

Launch timing: September 10th for most of us (Europe, Asia, and the usual suspects), September 9th if you’re in North America. Phase 1 runs through September 30th, then we get Phase 2 with Nahida and Yelan reruns from October 1st to October 21-22.

The usual maintenance dance applies – 5 hours starting at 06:00 UTC+8, with your standard 300 primo compensation. Pre-download opens 48 hours early, which I’d recommend since this update’s pretty hefty.

Breaking Down the New Arsenal

The 5-Star Showstoppers

Bloodsoaked Ruins immediately screams “Flins weapon” with its Lunar-Charged focus. Base 674 ATK with 22.1% Crit Rate – solid foundation. The passive gives you +36-84% Lunar-Charged damage for 3.5 seconds after using your burst, plus some energy recovery mechanics.

What’s interesting is how this weapon handles the new reaction system. When you trigger Lunar-Charged reactions, you get +28-56% Crit Damage for 6 seconds and 12 energy back (14-second cooldown). It’s clearly designed for Flins, but Ineffa can make decent use of it too if you’re running Lunar-Charged teams.

Nightweaver’s Looking Glass surprised me. Sure, it’s Lauma’s signature with 542 ATK and 265 Elemental Mastery, but the versatility here is nuts. Hydro or Dendro skills give you +60-120 EM for 4.5 seconds. Nearby Lunar-Bloom reactions add another +60-120 EM for 10 seconds. When both effects are active? Your entire party gets +120-240% Bloom damage.

Based on my testing, this thing works beautifully on pretty much any EM-focused catalyst user. It’s not just a Lauma weapon – it’s genuinely universal.

The 4-Star Lineup That Actually Matters

Moonweaver’s Dawn (sword) offers 565 ATK and +27.6% ATK bonus. The passive boosts Elemental Burst damage by 20-40%, with an extra 16-56% bonus depending on your energy capacity. Nothing groundbreaking, but solid for burst-focused sword users.

Etherlight Spindlelute gets special mention because it’s free through 6.0 events. 510 ATK, +165 EM, and +120-240 EM for 20 seconds after using your skill. Not bad for a freebie.

The forgeable Nod-Krai weapons deserve serious consideration. Five craftable options including Master Key (claymore that’s perfect for Aino), Blackmarrow Lantern (Bloom specialist catalyst), and Prospector’s Shovel (Electro/Lunar-Charged polearm). These consistently perform at 85-90% effectiveness compared to their 5-star counterparts – something I’ve noticed more developers doing lately.

The Banner Math You Need to Know

Let’s talk numbers. The rates haven’t changed – still 0.7% for 5-stars with 80-pull hard pity, 3.9% for 4-stars with 10-pull guarantee.

Epitomized Path mechanics: You select your target weapon and earn Fate Points when you pull the wrong 5-star. Two Fate Points guarantee your chosen weapon. Here’s the critical part everyone forgets – your pull count carries over between banners, but Fate Points reset completely. I’ve seen too many people get burned by this.

Real cost expectations: You’re looking at 120-150 pulls on average for a specific 5-star, maximum 240 with Epitomized Path. That translates to 19,200-38,400 primogems for a guaranteed featured weapon. Not exactly pocket change.

Should You Actually Pull?

This is where my experience covering weapon banners comes in handy.

High priority targets: Nightweaver’s Looking Glass tops my list. The universal catalyst potential plus massive EM scaling makes it valuable long-term. Bloodsoaked Ruins follows if you’re serious about Lunar-Charged team compositions.

Moderate priority: Moonweaver’s Dawn as a solid 4-star burst weapon, and those forgeable options I mentioned earlier.

Here’s what’s really interesting about this banner – the Lunar-Charged and Lunar-Bloom mechanics feel like they’re setting up future character designs. That gives these weapons staying power beyond just the 6.0 characters.

That said? The forgeable alternatives make these 5-stars luxury upgrades rather than necessities. Something to keep in mind if you’re budget-conscious.

Your Pull Strategy Breakdown

Conservative approach (my recommendation for most players): Set your Epitomized Path, pull until your first 5-star (usually 60-80 pulls), then stop if you get what you want. Don’t chase the second one unless you’re prepared for the full 240-pull journey.

Aggressive approach (for spenders): Budget the full guarantee upfront. If you’re going this route, target both featured weapons only if they actually fit your roster.

Resource planning reality check: Minimum entry is 12,800 primos (80 pulls). Safe budget is 19,200 (120 pulls). Full guarantee is 38,400 (240 pulls). Version 5.8 gives us roughly 8,000-10,000 primos, plus anniversary rewards include 20 Intertwined Fates.

For Genesis Crystal efficiency – the $99.99 package yields 12,960 crystals with first-time bonus, $49.99 gets you 6,560. Expected real costs: F2P players need 2-3 months of saving, light spenders are looking at $50-100, worst-case guarantee runs $200-300.

Mistakes I See Players Make Constantly

The big ones: Pulling without setting Epitomized Path (seriously, don’t do this), chasing specific 4-star weapons, pulling for characters you don’t even own, and stopping at one Fate Point without budgeting for the guarantee.

Pity confusion: Remember, Fate Points reset between banners while your pull count carries over. Don’t mix up banner pity systems – weapon banner pity is separate from character banner pity.

Budget disasters: Underestimating that 240-pull cost, emotional spending beyond your predetermined limit, and ignoring those F2P alternatives that perform at 85-90% effectiveness.

Essential Tools for Planning

Must-have calculators: Paimon.moe for comprehensive tracking, Genshin-wishes.com for historical analysis, HoYoLAB for official wish history.

Meta resources: Keqing Mains for mathematical breakdowns, Genshin Helper Team for weapon rankings, plus community tier lists for broader perspectives.

Quick FAQ

When exactly does this go live? September 10, 2025 for most servers, September 9 for North America. Expect it around 11:00 UTC+8 after maintenance wraps up.

What’s the real guarantee cost? Maximum 240 pulls via Epitomized Path. Statistical average sits around 120-150 pulls.

Are the 4-stars worth targeting? Generally no – too unpredictable. Those forgeable Nod-Krai weapons offer reliable alternatives.

F2P viability? Only if you’ve got 150+ pulls saved, own the optimal user, and this significantly improves your account. Otherwise, stick with forgeable options.

The bottom line? This banner’s got some genuinely strong options, but don’t let FOMO drive your decisions. Those forgeable weapons are surprisingly competitive, and sometimes the smart play is patience.
