The Only Limited S-Rank Support – Yang Yayin
Most support characters require careful timing to maintain buffs on the main DPS. If those buffs expire during a DPS burst, it can result in major damage loss. But not Yang Yayin — she doesn’t have that issue. You simply keep her in the background singing while the on-field character attacks and switches as normal, and Yayin provides constant buffs throughout the fight. This ensures no DPS damage is lost.
Yang Yayin also grants fast Support Points generation and makes switching characters incredibly smooth. Her support comes with added invincibility frames, making the team safer during transitions. If you're using Yayin, her dedicated Drive Disc set is also the easiest to fully stack, boosting your DPS even more.
The Only Limited S-Rank Defense – Koleda Belobog (Kaizer)
Among all Defense characters, only Pan Yinhut doesn’t generate a shield. The others do — but Seth and Ben’s shields don’t appear next to the character model (only on the HP bar), and they’re very short-lived. If you’re not paying close attention, you won’t even know when the shield is gone. Plus, their shields don’t offer interrupt resistance.
Koleda’s shield, however, does. She’s the most reliable character when it comes to protecting your team. She also buffs teammates’ ATK and boosts team-wide damage, making her an outstanding support as well. As long as the shield is up, ATK is up — just like with Yayin, it’s easy to confirm your DPS is fully buffed.
Auto Break in the Backline – Zhu Yuan (Nicole Demara)
Although Zhu Yuan may seem complex due to her various attack types, she’s actually incredibly easy to use. Most of her attacks are performed automatically from the backline. The only manual input needed is to swap her in to cast her enhanced EX Special Attack and Ultimate.
Her team buff — Tiger Roar — increases CRIT DMG, Chain Attack DMG, and Ultimate DMG, and it applies passively in the background. This means your DPS gets full benefit from it at all times. She also easily triggers the King of the Mountain set, thanks to her auto-triggered Chain Attacks, giving everyone a big CRIT DMG boost.
6 Cores Plugged into the Brain – Soldier 11 (Soukaku)
Soukaku is a high-floor, low-ceiling DPS. In her best team setup — Soukaku, Wolfgang, Anby — she can put up massive scores. But even if you’re not mechanically skilled, once you unlock all 6 cores, you can just hold the normal attack button to deal considerable damage.
Her enhanced normal attack covers a massive area, making it hard to miss. She’s also very survivable — much of her normal combo grants invincibility frames. Even if you button mash through her rotation and just spam skills and ultimates, she won’t take much damage. She’s truly a blessing for players who struggle with fast-paced combat.
Infinite Ultimates – Ellen
For every DPS character, the Ultimate is their strongest move — offering the highest damage, most i-frames, and strongest interrupt. But for most characters, building up the 3000 Daze needed to use it is slow — you may only get to cast it once or twice per fight.
Ellen breaks this mold. With her unique double-ultimate mechanic, she naturally gets to use more Ultimates than other characters. Add Zhu Yuan as her teammate, and you can regenerate Daze even after using your Ultimate. This makes it feel like “infinite ultimates” — letting her deal insane damage with minimal effort.
Conclusion
These "wheelchair" characters fall into two categories — supports that provide buffs for nearly the entire fight, and DPS characters with simple, effective ways to deal damage. They’re incredibly beginner-friendly, and playing them feels smooth and satisfying.
