[It was revealed that the production of the "Silent Hill 2" remake has been completed, and Bloober Team's focus has shifted to new projects] Due to pressure from fans, Bloober Team, the developer of the "Silent Hill 2" remake, issued an announcement at the end of November last year, stating: "The game is progressing smoothly, and publisher Konami will make an announcement at the appropriate time." Recently, horror game whistleblower Dusk Golem revealed that the development of this game has basically been completed and is now in the final stage. Most of the studio's employees have been transferred to new projects, leaving only some key members to polish, test, and fix bugs. Bloober Team announced at the beginning of the month that it had received funding for this "new project" and it is reported that it will be produced using Unreal 5. Dusk Golem pointed out that this project is a new horror work created in cooperation with Skybound (which owns IPs such as "The Walking Dead"). This morning, PlayStation released a preview of its 2024 game lineup. It can be seen that the remake of "Silent Hill 2" will be released this year. The specific release date is currently unknown.
