Preview Schedule
The Version 2.0 preview livestream is scheduled for Friday, May 23, at 19:00 (GMT+8). Note that the start time has been moved up by 30 minutes, likely due to the abundance of content to be covered. The theme for this version is “Where the Clouds Return,” indicating the commencement of the Yunqishan storyline and the beginning of the cultivation journey with Faeton!
The promotional poster features characters such as Yixuan, Ju Fufu, Pan Yinhu, and the sibling duo of the Proxies. Interestingly, Ies appears behind her brother with a teary expression, possibly because she wasn't brought along to Yunqishan or perhaps Faeton temporarily doesn't require her assistance in the Hollow? We'll have to wait for the preview or the new version to find out the exact reason.
Special Guest Appearance
A mysterious guest is set to appear in this preview, strongly suggesting that Da Wei Ge will join the 2.0 version preview. Historically, Da Wei Ge has been present during major updates, so this time should be no exception.

Version 2.0 Featured Characters
Based on the previously released official teasers, Yixuan is expected to be the first limited S-rank character in Version 2.0, followed by Ju Fufu in the latter half. However, it's uncertain whether the developers might switch the order of the character banners to align with the anniversary schedule.
Yixuan (S-Rank, Ether-Type, New Role)
As the most anticipated character in the early stages of Version 2.0, Yixuan, the master of Yunqishan, is a must-have for players focused on strength. Yixuan's attribute and role introduce a new mechanism. Her attribute is likely a strengthened version of Ether, similar to Xingjianya. In terms of role, since Yixuan utilizes spellcasting in combat, she might serve as a spell-type main DPS, akin to the catalyst users in Genshin Impact.
Ju Fufu (S-Rank, Fire-Type, Break Role)
Ju Fufu is the third fire-type Break character in Zenless Zone Zero. However, her role is expected to differ from that of Light, potentially focusing on versatility and off-field support. Her mechanics are likely to synergize well with Yixuan, providing general enhancements to other characters. For players planning to pull for Yixuan, Ju Fufu would be a recommended addition.
Pan Yinhu (A-Rank, Physical-Type, Defense Role)
Pan Yinhu is an A-rank physical defense character, likely designed as a dedicated A-rank support for Yixuan. This addresses the common issue of new attributes and roles lacking suitable support upon release. Pan Yinhu is expected to be a must-train character initially, with future S-rank characters eventually taking over her role. Notably, as a new A-rank character introduced in Version 2.0, Pan Yinhu might be obtainable for free through events.
What Else to Expect in Version 2.0?
Reward Previews
As the anniversary version and the beginning of the second season, Version 2.0 is expected to offer enticing rewards to attract new and returning players. Anticipated rewards include 20 free pulls through login bonuses, 1,600 Films via in-game mail, and possibly a free S-rank character. Let's see how generous Zenless Zone Zero will be!
New Bangboo
With the introduction of the Yunqishan faction, Version 2.0 will feature three new characters from this faction. Given that this is a major update, new Bangboo are almost certain to be introduced, likely incorporating Chinese cultural elements. The specific effects remain to be seen.
New Map
Version 2.0 will unveil a brand-new main city and other maps. Our familiar base of operations might relocate from Sixth Street to Yunqishan. Exciting times ahead!
New Drives
Being a significant update, Version 2.0 is expected to introduce two new Drives tailored for Yixuan and Ju Fufu. This means new dungeons to farm and more content to explore.
