TOP 5: Butler
Butler, a Bangboo from the Version 1.0 era, is still quite functional today. While its Chain Skill is relatively average—being a straightforward physical damage attack that can often be skipped—its Active Skill is top-tier, providing energy regeneration for the on-field agent. Although the energy gained isn’t massive, it can greatly smooth out rotations for your main DPS.
In practice, as long as you use Butler’s buff a few seconds before your next Empowered Special Attack, it can drastically reduce your battle time. It’s a high-ceiling support-type Bangboo. After Ellen’s buff, Butler’s extra ability is now almost impossible to trigger in most teams, so it mainly relies on its excellent core mechanics. While ranked at #5, it has been a joy for early adopters and still proves its worth.
TOP 4: Shiyue
Shiyue is a pure DPS-type Bangboo from the Faction of Yunkuishan, featuring an Active Skill with solid damage and Daze potential. Its extra ability boosts all its own damage and reduces the cooldown of its Active Skill after an ally uses their Ultimate, making it a great fit for teams with Yiyuan.
Additionally, Shiyue is the first Bangboo in the game whose extra ability trigger condition becomes easier with higher star levels—requiring only one Yunkuishan agent at 3 stars, greatly enhancing its flexibility. Besides synergizing with Yiyuan, Shiyue also works well in teams using Orangeboi, allowing Yiyuan to swap in Pan Yinhu or Orangeboi as needed. Shiyue can easily slot into other core DPS teams too.
TOP 3: Clicker
Clicker is currently the only S-rank Bangboo that boosts team damage, making it quite unique. Although Bangboos generally offer less support than agents, a Level 60, 1-star Clicker still provides a reliable 6.8% teamwide damage buff with very high uptime—often more valuable than some Bangboos’ personal DPS output. At 5 stars, this bonus increases to 10%, giving it even greater utility.
Clicker also excels in Belobog Heavy Industries teams (like those led by Ellen), where it gains a healing effect—boosting both DPS and survivability. In high-pressure fights, it can even help turn the tide. Thanks to this stable and powerful utility, Clicker is one of the highest-priority Bangboos to invest in.
TOP 2: Esme
The new Bangboo from Version 2.1, Esme, is part of the House of Racket faction and continues the 2.0-era tradition: its extra ability only needs one House of Racket agent at 3 stars to trigger. This makes high-star Esme highly compatible in most teams using Koleda.
Esme's core mechanic is generating three bubbles with random effects—either healing or energy regen. The bubble types are weighted depending on the active agent’s HP status. While its Active Skill doesn't restore as much energy as Butler’s, its easily triggered extra ability gives it significantly better overall performance and flexibility. Esme is highly versatile and worth pulling to high star levels.
TOP 1: Robin
Robin, from the Black Shores faction, is currently the only Bangboo whose extra ability can be triggered with just one Black Shores agent, and can dynamically switch its mechanic based on the active agent's role—dealing solid damage, Daze, or status effects. Robin is an incredibly versatile Bangboo.
With the release of Koleda in Version 2.1 and the rising popularity of Vivienne, Robin has seen a surge in use across many Disorder-type teams. Both Koleda and Jiyan often use Lucy’s exclusive weapon "Cannonball", which emphasizes the importance of having a strong attacker in the team. As one of the best offensive Bangboos for these setups, Robin’s value is currently the highest among all Bangboos.
Summary
These are the top Bangboos most worth building in the current version. However, keep in mind that Bangboos generally have limited overall impact on team performance compared to agents. The most important thing is to choose the Bangboo you love, so prioritize the ones that appeal to you personally!
