Version 1.0: Ellen

Ellen dominated the early game with her exceptional mobility and ice-infused basic attacks, making her a top-tier on-field DPS. Her synergy with Lycaon and Soukaku formed a formidable ice team, with Lycaon remaining relevant even now. Ellen's self-sufficiency and team compatibility made her the undisputed queen of Version 1.0.

Versions 1.1 & 1.2: Jane Doe

Introduced in Version 1.1, Jane impressed players with her charge mechanics and critical strike capabilities, delivering multiple bursts after building up. Her damage output surpassed that of Ellen and Zhu Yuan under similar conditions. In Version 1.2, the addition of Bernice significantly enhanced Jane's performance, integrating her into the Anomaly system and improving her overall cycle efficiency.

Version 1.3: Tsukishiro Yanagi

Version 1.3 brought the Hollow Special Operations Section into the spotlight, with Yanagi introducing the Polarity Anomaly mechanic. She offered high-frequency enhanced special skills and flexible playstyles, excelling both as a dual-core Anomaly DPS and a pure electric team leader. Her versatility ensured her continued relevance in subsequent versions.

Version 1.4: Hoshimi Miyabi

As the first Ether-type character, Miyabi redefined the meta with her explosive damage and straightforward mechanics. She boasts high adaptability, fitting into various team compositions such as Anomaly, dual-support, and Break teams. Even now, she remains one of the most potent main DPS options in ZZZ.

Version 1.5: Evelyn

Following Miyabi, Version 1.5 introduced the powerful support character Yojiayin, who became a staple in many teams. Evelyn continued the trend of high-strength characters, offering frequent chain attacks and flexibility between burst and sustained damage playstyles. Her comprehensive capabilities make her second only to Miyabi and a valuable investment.

Version 1.6: Nicole Demara

Initially underwhelming due to operational bugs and lack of suitable Break partners, Nicole's performance improved dramatically with the introduction of Triggers. Subsequent environmental buffs further elevated her status, making her a late bloomer with considerable strength, albeit with higher team-building costs.

Version 1.7: Vivian

Currently, Version 1.7 is dominated by Vivian-centric teams. The prevalence of Weak Ether and favorable Anomaly conditions have revitalized characters like Jane, whose critical strike mechanics benefit greatly from Vivian's additional damage calculations. Vivian also enhances the performance of Miyabi and Yanagi, improving the overall comfort and effectiveness of Anomaly teams.

Summary

From Versions 1.0 to 1.7, ZZZ has seen dynamic shifts in its meta, with various systems and characters rising to prominence. The game maintains a balanced environment, allowing different playstyles to shine. Which system or character is your favorite in ZZZ?
