Version 5.6 has been live for a while now—what do you think of the new character, Emilie? Coming up next is the rerun of the highly popular Raiden Shogun, and no doubt many Travelers will be pulling to boost her constellations. The good news， The character banners for 5.7 and 5.8 have already been decided, so you can start planning your Primogems early!
According to the latest info, Yelan will be unexpectedly rerunning in version 5.7, pushing back the previously planned rerun of Emilie. Given her lower popularity and weak team synergy, the delay is quite reasonable. The other three rerun characters in 5.7 will be Clorinde, Arlecchino, and Marani. The banner order is expected to be:
First Half: Clorinde + Yelan
Second Half: Arlecchino + Marani
For the four-star characters:
First Half: New 4-star Taliyah, Xingqiu, Candace
Second Half: Bennett, Freminet, Barbara
Notably, the official splash art for Clorinde and Taliyah is delayed until next Tuesday due to certain content sensitivities. After this rerun, Yelan will be added to the Liyue mixed banner pool. Also, the main event of version 5.7 will feature a free Sethos!
After Raiden Shogun in 5.6 and Arlecchino in 5.7, Nahida is finally expected to rerun in 5.8! That patch will also debut a new 5-star Hydro female character, alongside reruns of Chascar and Mamere. Summer skins in 5.8 are rumored to be for Fontaine characters, with strong speculation pointing to Navia and the little reporter.
Interestingly, version 5.7's major event is Sumeru-themed and will prominently feature characters from Sumeru. Based on this trend—Inazuma summer event in 5.4, Inazuma mixed banner in 5.6—it’s highly likely we’ll see a Sumeru mixed banner in 5.8. Especially with Nahida back, a Sumeru pool would make perfect sense!

Nilou, Cyno, Alhaitham, Emilie, Wanderer, Tighnari, Dehya—that’s a solid seven characters!

6.2: Main storyline shift to Nordkarlay
6.4: Dottore makes his main story appearance—tricked by a mysterious girl into burning the Irminsul Tree. This triggers a boss battle involving the Traveler, the God of Justice, Nahida, and a Moon God. Eventually, Dottore gets taken away by the Sovereign of the Abyss.
Finally, Childe’s second Story Quest is planned for version 6.5! As one of the most mysterious and lore-rich characters in Genshin, there's even speculation he might get a new SP (alternate) version. Definitely something to get hyped about!
