Physical Team: Jane's Disorder Squad

Jane + Vivian/Bernice + Yojiayin/Caesar/Lucy

After receiving a massive boost in version 1.7 with the arrival of Vivian, Jane gained access to a triple advantage—Physical, Ether, and Fire. Though her base stats and mechanics were already solid, her main issue had always been team slots. Now, her performance is quite respectable.

Looking ahead, two new limited S-rank characters will be added in version 2.0: Fubo Yuye (an exceptional debuff support) and Alice (a Physical Anomaly DPS). The former greatly increases Jane’s damage ceiling, while the latter might eventually push Jane out of the top spot. Still, these additions promise a favorable environment for Jane mains to shine in upcoming updates.

Fire Team: Evelyn’s Break Team

Evelyn + Light/Nicole/Trigger + Yojiayin/Caesar/Lucy

Evelyn currently stands out as the strongest Fire DPS, especially in Fire-weak environments. Her mechanics are well-rounded, allowing for both sustained field presence and burst damage. In terms of overall performance, she’s just slightly behind top-tier units like Xingjianya and Yixuan.

Later in version 2.0, Evelyn will receive support from Jufu-Fu. While she might not surpass Light in buffing potential, Jufu-Fu fits seamlessly into Evelyn’s Break team. If you missed Light, consider pulling Jufu-Fu in the latter half of the patch to significantly boost your Fire team's effectiveness.

Ice Team: Xingjianya’s Disorder Squad

Xingjianya + Tsukishiro Ranka/Bernice/Vivian + Yojiayin/Caesar/Lucy

Xingjianya is currently the only Void Hunter and arguably the strongest overall DPS in the game. Her team options are among the most flexible in the entire roster. Whether it’s pairing with Ranka, Vivian, or Bernice for a Disorder setup, or going for more cost-efficient comps like “Ya-Wolf-Cang,” there are multiple viable paths.

Her playstyle is extremely forgiving—once she stacks enough “Frostfall,” a triple-charged slash follows, delivering massive damage. If the boss has an Ice weakness, you can count on Xingjianya to carry the fight with ease.

Electric Team: Tsukishiro Ranka’s Disorder Team

Ranka + Vivian/Bernice + Yojiayin/Caesar/Lucy

Since the 2.0 update, Anby’s dominance has waned. Ranka’s consistent performance in Disorder compositions has made her a more reliable choice. Thanks to her own strong Anomaly output, she works well with either Vivian or Bernice, depending on your team needs.

Looking forward to version 2.1, Ranka is expected to benefit significantly from Fubo Yuye’s support. Compared to Xingjianya, Ranka has a more mature Disorder mechanic and, unlike Jane, won’t face competition from another Electric Anomaly main DPS. Her long-term potential looks excellent.

Ether Team: Yixuan's Solo Carry Team

Yixuan + Pan Yinhu + Yojiayin/Trigger

Zhu Yuan, the original Ether DPS from version 1.0, has maintained her popularity thanks to her explosive burst damage. But now in version 2.0, Yixuan has entered the battlefield as a second Ether main DPS, effectively taking the baton and forming the new top Ether team.

Currently, Yixuan’s support structure is still developing. He will benefit greatly from the upcoming addition of Jufu-Fu, while Pan Yinhu—a current A-rank support—will likely be replaced by a future S-rank option for even greater performance. The potential here is huge.

Summary

Among all top meta teams, Evelyn remains the only Fire DPS still firmly at the top. Other attributes lean heavily into Anomaly-based compositions, with three standout Disorder teams and Yixuan leading a rising Break-style Ether squad. Fortunately, Zenless Zone Zero often keeps older characters relevant, so many DPS units stay viable across multiple versions.

If your box contains any of these lineups—or a rerun is on the horizon—it’s a great time to optimize and dominate!
