[Eidos Montreal announces layoffs, reports say the new "Deus Ex" game has been cancelled] Eidos Montreal issued a layoff announcement today, confirming that the company will lay off 97 employees, including the development team, support services and management team. Swedish game manufacturer Embracer Group acquired Eidos Montreal from SE in 2022. Afterwards, there was news that a new "Deus Ex" game was promoted to the schedule.
