Updates from the August 7 draft:
HoYoverse retired the "plain Electro Vision" read. The Version 7.0 Known Issues post says the Wraith's Nocturne cutscene icon is wrong and should show an Electro Stellar Linchpin.
Early HXG notes called him an on-field DPS. Older FSC notes called him an off-field Superconduct sub-DPS. Later Array notes give him both: Tap for on-field, Hold for off-field.
Echoes of the Heart is no longer a future recipe. You can buy the blueprint and forge it in 7.0.
Alyosha is a free Archon Quest unit, not an event prize. Extra copies sit on the Odette and Arlecchino banners until September 1.

The Special Program and the 7.0 preload showed Mitya with a standard Snezhnaya Electro Vision. That frame is the one older guides quoted.
After launch, HoYoverse wrote a Known Issues line for Archon Quest "Wraith's Nocturne": the Elemental Type icon on Mitya is incorrect. The intended icon is an Electro Stellar Linchpin. The studio marked the fix for a later update. As of August 27 that line is still on the official list.
HXG's mid-summer split (normal Vision / Stellar Link / a third bucket) does not override that notice. Build him as Electro Stellar Conduct. Rewrite the lore line when his beta profile text lands.
He is a Royal Energy Commission scientist in the live quest. You meet him in Everwinter Without Mercy and again in Wraith's Nocturne. Valeriy appears in the same chapters as the officer who keeps him on a leash.

On-field is the role they call the real kit. Off-field drops the Polestar rewrite.
Low-investment notes pair him with Sucrose for EM and RES shred. High-investment notes say ATK buffers pay less because his own kit tracks Mastery. None of that is on a talent card yet.
Valeriy's leak sheet: 4-star Electro Sword, a team shield, 20% Stellar reaction damage, and 120 Elemental Mastery. Some notes let him cover the Tsaritsa slot on a Mitya team. Rarity shocked players who read him as a 5-star in the Snezhnaya trailer.

You have four days on Phase 1. The old "pull the support first" line still holds if you want Stellar for more than one patch. Odette is live, and later Conduct carries reuse her slot.

How to prepare for Mitya before 7.2
Count pity in Wish History. A lost 50/50 plus hard pity is 180 pulls (28,800 Primogems). Soft target: 160–180 Intertwined Fates before early November. The 180-pull Snezhnaya sheet is the same math.
Clear Chapter VII Act I and take free Alyosha. Extra copies close on September 1.
Decide Odette before the September 1 swap. For a multi-patch Conduct account, pull the support once.
Buy the Echoes of the Heart blueprint and forge it. Farm Rimecurrants and Lumifluorites while you explore.
Hold Mora, Charity talent books, and 7.2 boss mats until prefarm sheets list the weekly boss. Skill costs are blank.
