Developer confirms Star Wars strategy game unaffected by layoffs and still in development

[The developer confirmed that the "Star Wars" strategy game was not affected by layoffs and is still under development] A few days ago we reported that EA announced that it would lay off 5% of its global employees. Several projects were axed, including Respawn's "Star Wars" 》FPS game. Today developer Bit Reactor issued a message revealing that the "Star Wars" strategic project is still under development. They said: "Last week was a difficult week, especially because our reliable partner Respawn was also deeply involved. However, the game we are currently developing will not be affected by this layoff." Bit Reactor is a new studio formed by veterans of XCOM and Civilization developer Firaxis Games. The project will join the canceled FPS "Star Wars" and "Star Wars Jedi" in 2022. 》The new work was confirmed together. The president of EA Entertainment confirmed in a previous announcement that Respawn will focus on the development of the "Star Wars Jedi" and "Apex" series in the future.
