Character Background
Alice is the second officially revealed member of the Hollow Special Operations (HSO) faction. Although Komano Makoto is also likely part of HSO, that has yet to be confirmed. Watching Alice’s satellite teaser video, one might be fooled by her serious and determined tone, but her in-game voice lines and the Season 2 PV reveal that she’s actually a shy and introverted girl.

Personality Analysis
Despite her timid nature, Alice doesn’t retreat in the face of fear. Instead, she bravely charges forward with her eyes closed and her sword raised — utterly adorable. This also reflects that beyond gossip, curiosity, and odd-job research, the HSO faction also takes on serious combat missions.
CV Info
Alice's Chinese VA is DuoDuo, a familiar name to many players. She also voices Paimon from Genshin Impact, Bailu from Honkai: Star Rail, and Liv from Punishing: Gray Raven.
Her Japanese VA is Natsumi Murakami, who hasn’t had a particularly high-profile career so far. This is also her first collaboration with a miHoYo game. Feel free to look up more of her work if you're curious!
Attribute & Role
Alice is the second limited S-rank Physical Anomaly character. Zenless Zone Zero tends to give each character with similar typing distinct mechanics to avoid overlap. Since Physical-type characters currently don’t work well as sub-DPS, it’s speculated that Alice will likely be a main DPS similar to Ellen Joe, with direct damage mechanics that blend in some anomaly or disorder elements.
For Jane-focused players, Alice’s arrival could provide a long-term boost to Physical Anomaly teams, especially for those who love running Jane-Vic disorder comps. However, Alice might also compete with Jane for team slots — a bit of a double-edged sword.
With Alice’s reveal, Yoyo (Yuyō Fubuki) is increasingly shaping up to be a dedicated Anomaly support, which would greatly enhance existing Anomaly-based teams, including those with characters like Moonlight Liu, Belle, Vivian, and Jane. Plus, it should ease worries about team-building overlap with Yoake An.
Character Relationships
As Alice’s closest friend, Yoyo understands her best — praising Alice’s innocence and kindness as pure and untainted, regardless of wealth or status. Even after seeing the world’s darker sides, Alice remains true to her gentle heart.
Interestingly, Lucy used to be a true heiress, and Alice appears to be the same. When they first met, Alice nervously recommended Lucy try her signature twin pigtails — an interaction that totally hit my soft spot!

As for Damien, while he currently plays a neutral role in the story, he made an appearance in the Season 2 PV, confirming he’s likely an important positive character. His current attitude toward prestigious families is indifferent — perhaps Alice’s actions in future storylines will change his perception of noble houses?
Final Thoughts
In Version 2.1 of Zenless Zone Zero, Alice will debut in the second half of the update. With the game now doubling down on the Anomaly team archetype, are you excited or nervous?
