Sixteen survivors are divided into eight duos to battle it out. In the early stages of the match, players who are eliminated can revive near their teammate, but during the later Final Phase, any elimination will be permanent, and the last surviving team wins the match.
By destroying crates with weapons, players can obtain three types of items:
Weapons,
Consumables,
Power-up items.
Each offers different buffs to enhance your character.
In addition, players are assigned animal identities and encounter various terrain types. From the video, some revealed animal forms include: eagle, cat, fox, snake, rabbit, badger, and deer. Each animal identity has its own unique attack methods, adding a layer of fun and variety to the gameplay!
The core mechanics involve shooting water guns or using melee weapons to eliminate opponents. Who said you can’t play a shooter inside Identity V? This isn’t just a fairy tale in the woods—it’s a shooter in the woods! The gameplay is strangely familiar... it brings back memories of an old friend. Wax Artist mains, your time has come!
One last detail I noticed: in this mode, survivors stand upright, no longer slouching. Male survivors, in particular, no longer hunch over—they stand tall and confident. Their running posture also differs from the normal mode, and their upright stance looks pretty cool!
