What a season reset does
Moonton applies a fixed drop to every account above Elite when a ranked season ends. Visible medals move down. The hidden matchmaking rating stays close to the games you played. Two Legend 5 names can sit in different lobbies on day one.
Ranked closes for maintenance. Recent seasons use about 1 to 3 hours. Watch the in-game notice. Season 42's hero, Journey skin, and first-recharge offer are still unannounced.
Claim Season 41 rewards before the timer hits zero. Unclaimed Battle Points, fragments, tickets, and Journey items disappear. There is no recovery mail.

How the reset formula works
The drop is a tier table. Every account inside one band shares one destination. Mythic Glory at 50 stars and at 99 stars both go to Legend 5.
Stars inside a band still pay Road to Mythic cosmetics and a higher peak medal for end-of-season BP. They do not change the Season 42 row.
Matchmaking keeps a hidden rating across the wipe. Moonton does not publish the inputs. Guides that name "last 50 games of KDA" are guessing.
Credit score does not move the reset row. It does lock Ranked if you sit under 90. Read the credit score recovery steps if you are already below the line.
The same table ships on every region. Queue times and lobby mix change by server population. The printed drop does not.
How to prepare before 16 September 2026
Open Ranked → Season / Rewards. Claim every tile.
Finish 20 ranked matches if Zhask Icespawn Scourge is still locked.
Stop farming Glory stars for placement. 50 and 99 both become Legend 5.
If you sit on Legend 1, one Mythic star is the start that matters.
Open your bag and read protection-card expiry. Use a card on a real demotion risk, not on a Glory star that does not change the row.
Keep credit at 90 or higher. Below 90, Ranked is closed. 90–99 can queue. 100–110 pays the higher weekly BP caps.
