Updated on 2026-08-26: Live client is Version 4.5.0. Season 31 Classic Season and Royale Pass A20 share the 16 July to 11 September window. Version 4.6 is set for 9 September. The ranked conversion runs when Season 31 closes at 23:59 UTC+0 on 11 September. Krafton does not print this table in the public patch note. The client has used this conversion through 2026 Season Ascension.

Solo, Duo, and Squad reset on their own tracks in TPP and FPP. Squad Conqueror leaves Solo Crown where that mode finished.
What a tier reset does
The client reads your highest tier in each mode, then writes a new badge from the table above. Your live title, leaderboard slot, and RP go with the season. A claimed Conqueror frame stays in inventory if you finished the five claim matches after you entered the top 500.
January 2026 opened Season 28 with Version 4.2, not Season 25. Official copy now says Season 31. Cycle 8 Season 25 was the old label on this page.
Ace no longer uses a 1–6 star ladder as the public rank name. You climb Ace at 4199 RP, Ace Master at 4699 RP, Ace Dominator at 5199 RP, then Conqueror if your region and mode place you in the top 500 at the daily 00:20 UTC refresh. Path of Glory extras sit at Ace Dominator 30 stars.
Rating protection cards do not block the season conversion. Use them after the new season starts, when early lobbies mix Ace returners with Gold players on the same Platinum floor.

Season 31 also ships Promotion Match HUD work: the Start button shows promotion status, a prompt fires if a map or mode swap cancels the run, and a successful promote plays a recap for you and your squad. Open the in-game Promotion Match panel for the live placement counts. Those counts moved in Version 4.3 and the panel is the source of truth.
Conqueror still needs a top-500 seat plus five matches in that mode to lock the frame. The cutoff climbs through the season. Asia Squad TPP sits higher than NA or EU for the same day.
Conqueror and Ace after the drop
A #1 Conqueror at 7000 RP and an Ace Dominator at 5200 RP both open Season 32 in Platinum I. Extra RP inside the same band does not buy a higher start. The gap shows up in recovery speed, not in the first badge.
Former Conqueror players who keep placement first reach Crown in 15–25 matches, then spend another 20–40 matches on Ace and the Promotion Match gates. That is 35–65 matches if the squad stays intact. Your lobby quality sets the real clock.

How to climb after the reset
Queue ranked in the first 72 hours. Waiting does not save RP. It lets returners take the soft Platinum games.
Play 5–10 matches a day for three days in one mode. Split Solo, Duo, and Squad only if you plan to maintain all three.
Take top 10 over a 10-kill hot drop. Early-season RP still pays survival and placement first.
Keep the same two or three Crown-and-up teammates. Mixed skill in the first week burns RP on third parties you cannot cover.
Run Livik when you need match volume for Promotion Match attempts. Use Erangel when you need the placement line the panel lists for Ace.
Squad recovers faster if you already call rotations. Solo finishes matches sooner and punishes one peek. Pick the mode you can play every day. Decay is per mode after seven idle days.
A stable 90 or 120 FPS setup helps more in those first Platinum fights than a new crate skin. Version 4.5 also moved SMGs to empty-hand move speed, so Vector and UMP45 show up in early circles more than they did in January.
Skip Pochinki, Bootcamp, and Midstein on day one unless your squad already wins those compounds. Two top-10 games with 3–5 kills climb faster than one 12-kill wipe that ends in 16th.
Royale Pass A20 and UC before Season 32
A20 is the pass tied to Season 31. Official Elite Pass copy returns up to 720 UC if you finish the paid track. Elite Pass Plus adds a rank jump and extra weekly points. Crown season rewards this cycle include three rating protection cards. Those cards matter after 11 September, when you start the climb again.

Rank decay after you climb

One ranked match a week per mode clears the timer. Three modes means three matches. A Conqueror sitting at #480 can fall out of the top 500 after ten idle days if the cutoff keeps rising.

How long does a former Conqueror need to get the title back?

Does Ace Dominator drop to Crown or Diamond?
No. Ace, Ace Master, and Ace Dominator all open in Platinum. Ace Dominator starts Platinum I. Ace and Ace Master start Platinum II.
Do tier protection cards stop the season reset?
No. The conversion is a server write. Use the cards after Season 32 opens, when a bad early match would drop you a subdivision.
