StarMaker Coins, VIP and Pro in October 2026: What Each Really Costs, Channel by Channel
StarMaker coins, VIP and Pro prices checked Oct 28, 2026: App Store vs official web vs Codashop vs third-party, plus bans, 365-day expiry and age rules.
Author: Sarah Mitchell Publish at: 2026/10/29 13 min read
On Oct 28, 2026, the App Store gave about 60 StarMaker coins per $1, official web top-up about 82, and Codashop about 86. Our own page, which sells StarMaker coins, showed 8,216 for $80.18, about 102 per $1. These are displayed prices before fees, and we are a seller, so compare first.
Straight talk before we start: this article is published by bittopup, a shop that sells StarMaker coins. I put our price in the same table as everyone else's, with the date, and I say where my data is weak. Every price below is a snapshot from Oct 28, 2026 (UTC+8). Prices move, and your checkout total is the number that counts.
The price check: same coins, five different prices
The app is the same wherever you pay, but the coins you get per dollar are not. Here is how I measured:
For every channel I took the biggest pack priced at or under $100.
I used the price as displayed, before payment fees.
I divided coins by dollars, because pack sizes differ between sellers.
Original graphic, bittopup, 2026-10-28. The Apple bar uses the 6,000-coin pack on the StarMaker Lite listing; the main US listing tops out at 3,000 for $49.99, also about 60 per $1.

Same dollars, more coins: the official web card tiers give +37% more coins than Apple at $100 (82.16 vs 60.0 per $1), and +33% to +36% at the smaller tiers. Codashop beats the official web card by 4.7% to 7.9% depending on the tier. Our displayed price is about 19% more coins per dollar than Codashop's top pack, and 24.7% more than the official card tier.
The official numbers come second-hand, so check them yourself
The catch: the official web top-up page only shows tiers after you enter your own StarMaker ID, and I used no one's account. The tiers I used (for example $1 = 79 coins, $100 = 8,216 coins) come from a search-index copy of the page. Treat them as "as reported on the official page copy, confirm after entering your ID."

Prices here are the nominal tiers: Apple and Codashop use $6.99, $9.99, $19.99, $49.99 and $99.99, the official card page uses round dollars. Codashop's page says it "has partnered with Skywork AI Pte Ltd to offer official StarMaker Coins top ups" (checked Oct 28, 2026), and it shows payments by card, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Cash App, with no fee displayed.

Two warnings. Badges are noisy: BuffBuff's page shows three different discount numbers (17% in the title, 7% on a badge, about 20% from its crossed-out prices), so I use only the price you pay. And fees: BuffBuff shows $0.24 for card, Google Pay or Apple Pay and $0.36 for PayPal on its default 70-coin order, and Joytify shows PayPal at $0.88 against "from $0.8". Other pages, ours included, show no fee before checkout.
Where bittopup fits, and what I can and can't promise
Our StarMaker coins top-up page showed 8,216 coins for $80.18 on Oct 28, 2026, and 715 coins for $6.98. That page also carries a "42% OFF" badge, but its own crossed-out prices work out to about 38.8%, so I don't use the badge. The price moved before, too: our own comparison page listed the same 8,216 coins at $89.09 on Jul 8, 2026, which is 10.0% higher.
Now the important part. I cannot show you that bittopup is authorized by StarMaker. Here is what the official sources say, so you can judge:
The official recharge page says not to buy coins through "unofficial or unauthorized websites" and that StarMaker is not liable for disputes with third parties (checked Oct 28, 2026).
StarMaker's blog post about the Madonna singing challenge (page stamp: latest update Sep 17, 2026) says you can buy coins in-app or through "qualified regional recharge agents", and its list includes BitTopup, along with Codashop, MTCGame, GameBar and StarCoin.
Codashop is the only seller whose own page documents a partnership.
That blog line is all I can point to. Verify it on the official blog yourself, and for certainty ask official support (appsupport@starmakerinteractive.com) before paying anyone.
My checklist before you pay anywhere
Open the official recharge page, enter your ID, and write down the tiers it shows for your region.
Open the other shops and note coins and total price. Do not compare pack names.
Divide coins by the final checkout total, fees included.
Check that the shop supports your country and account, as StarMaker's own blog post advises.
Remember the Terms: coins have no monetary value, can't be transferred and can't be exchanged for cash. Codashop says all sales are final and non-refundable, and I found no refund rule for web top-ups.
Be patient: the official page says the card, Razer Gold and Payoneer channels take about 45 minutes. I couldn't verify other sellers' delivery times.
Apple price vs web top-up: the App Store is the premium lane
Apple's US list is 60 coins for $0.99, 420 for $6.99, 600 for $9.99, 1,200 for $19.99 and 3,000 for $49.99: a flat 60 coins per dollar. You pay for convenience, and the price depends on your country:

So a UK player pays about 33% more than a US player for the same 420 coins. On Google Play, only a range is public (US $0.49 to $199.99 per item, coins and subscriptions together), so I can't give you per-pack Play prices.
VIP vs Pro vs Coins: three words, not one thing
Players get stuck here. A Reddit thread titled "VIP vs pro?" (Jul 3, 2024) got no comments and one weak reply. Here is what I can source:
Thing
What it is
What's confirmed
Coins
Virtual currency for gifts
StarMaker's coin intro page describes coins as for gifts. Terms: no monetary value, non-transferable, no cash-out, and an account may be closed with coins removed after 365 days of inactivity.
Pro / paid plans
Auto-renewing subscription bought through Apple or Google
Terms: you need a subscription for unlimited recordings and no ads; plans renew weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually; cancel in the store at least 24 hours before renewal; refunds go through Apple or Google.
"VIP level" (1 to 12)
Unclear
Only seller blogs describe it (undated), as something tied to spending. I found no official definition, so I won't give you numbers.
Notice what is not there: nothing official says coins buy a subscription, or that a subscription gives you coins. They look like separate systems, but that is my reading, not a StarMaker statement. Now the prices, which conflict:
Where (Oct 28, 2026)
What the page shows
App Store US, in-app purchase list
"Exclusive access to all songs + early access to new releases" $1.99 and $16.99; "Full access to sing all songs + no ads" $6.99 and $16.99. Periods not stated.
App Store US, description text
"StarMaker Pro": $7.99 per week, $14.99 per month, $59.99 per year. This matches no price in the list above, and identical USD text appears on other countries' pages.
App Store UK / Singapore
£1.49 to £17.99 (six items) / S$2.98, S$9.98, S$24.98
App Store India / Philippines / Indonesia

Range only; per-plan price not found
Official web top-up
Coins only; no VIP or Pro price found
My advice: read the price and period on your own store's purchase screen, since I can't tell you which Apple number is "true". Also, a few user reviews say Pro still showed ads (Apple US, Jun 25, 2026) or didn't deliver (Google Play, Oct 22, 2026). Those are user claims I can't verify, but check what the plan lists before you pay.
Coins clear after 365 days without a login
The official recharge notice says all coin balance is cleared to zero if the account hasn't logged in for more than 365 consecutive days. The Terms word it more loosely: StarMaker may terminate an account and remove its coins after 365 days of inactivity. The Terms also say that if an account is terminated, you lose access to its coins permanently.
Don't stockpile coins on an account you've stopped opening.
Log in at least once a year, ideally well before day 365.
Buy what you'll gift soon; a bigger pack only saves money if you use it.
Mutes, bans and error 102311: what the official policy actually says
Bans are the loudest complaint I found. Recent complaint-board listings (Oct 4 and Oct 8, 2026) quote "Sorry, you have been muted… (Error code: 102311)". I found no official page explaining that code, so here is only what StarMaker's Community Guidelines (read Oct 28, 2026; the page itself is undated) say:
Penalty
What the guidelines say
Mute
Some functions, such as comments and messages, are suspended for a period depending on severity and past violations. You keep access to certain other functions.
Temporary ban
All functions suspended, "typically 3 days, 7 days or 15 days".
Permanent ban
After several violations, or immediately for zero-tolerance cases (for example children live-streaming, pornography). A device may be blocked.
Record
Accrued violations do not expire. If you win an appeal, the penalty is erased.
Appeals
"Following instructions/notifications to your account."
Not published: mute lengths, what 102311 means, and appeal response times. Forums quote numbers like 48 hours or 30 days, but I found no official source.
Screenshot the notice, including any code, before you do anything else.
Follow the appeal instructions in that notice.
If nothing happens, write to appsupport@starmakerinteractive.com with your ID and the screenshot. Users complain about slow, automated replies (an X post, Oct 4, 2026, is one example), so keep it short and factual.
Skip YouTube "unban tricks"; nothing official backs them.
The policy mentions no exemption for people who spend. One long-time user claimed on X (Sep 6, 2026) that a ten-year account was suspended despite heavy spending: unverified, but worth knowing.
Minor Protection Mode and the age-rating mix-up
I found no official explainer for "Minor Protection Mode". What I did find is that the age numbers don't agree:
Source (checked Oct 28, 2026)
What it says
App Store page
13+
Apple lookup API
9+ (probably stale, my guess)
Google Play
Teen (US); 12+ shown for Singapore, Indonesia, India, Philippines
Privacy Policy (US, Dec 14, 2025)
"Not directed to any minors under the age of 13"
Terms (US, effective Jan 6, 2026)
Paid subscriptions and social features can't be used below the minimum age adopted for your country; parental consent where local law requires
Community Guidelines
Minors may not be shown in live streaming, alone or with adults
An App Store review (US, Oct 24, 2026) says a child on a 9+ parental lock couldn't use the app because it needs 13+, and a Google Play review (Sep 29, 2026) says a 17-year-old was reported for "being young". Others say adults got stuck in the mode and needed ID checks. All user claims.
Check the age rating in your own store, not in a blog.
Use the privacy policy as your baseline: under 13 is out.
Talk to your kid about live streaming, where the guidelines say minors may not appear.
If an adult account gets flagged, email official support with your details. The appeal process isn't documented.
Bots and fake comments: what's sourced
Complaints about fake engagement are everywhere, but treat them as player reports. A Reddit r/singing commenter (Nov 29, 2023) says bots praise you whatever you sing, and another (May 26, 2024) says there are real people too, so look for canned replies. Apple US (May 4, 2026) and Google Play (Sep 24, 2026) reviewers call comments "AI" or bots. An r/StarmakerApp commenter (Jan 17, 2025) says bots have no covers of their own.
Not found: any official statement on who runs these accounts or whether comments are automated.
The store developer name includes "AI" (Skywork AI Pte. Ltd.), but that is the company name and not evidence about comments.
If bot duet invites bother you, bittopup also has a guide on how to block StarMaker bot duets (I haven't checked its steps against an official source). Missing a song? There's a separate StarMaker song request guide, with the same caveat.
What changed lately: v9.43.0 and 25 releases in 117 days
The iOS app hit version 9.43.0 on Oct 27, 2026 (09:36 SGT), and the release note is the usual "Improved singing and interaction experience". The App Store page shows 25 versions from Jul 2 to Oct 27, which is 117 days, with a median of 4.15 days between releases. Named features in the notes: Lyrics Captions (Jul 7 and 10), Sing List (Aug 27 and Sep 1) and the "Luminous" lyric effect (Sep 21 to Oct 9). The Google Play listing says "Updated on Oct 28, 2026" and I'm not quoting an Android version number because I couldn't verify one.
Original graphic, bittopup, App Store version history, 2026-10-28 (UTC dates).
Ratings on Oct 28, 2026: App Store US 4.63 from about 111,000 ratings, Google Play US 4.33 from about 3.95 million. Written reviews are harsher: a sample of the 500 latest Apple US ones (Feb to Oct) averages 3.57.

While you're here: the controls, in old official clips
StarMaker's official YouTube channel has no recent how-tos that I could find: its tutorials date from 2017 to 2020. The three clips below are from 2019 official tutorials, so screens look different today, but volume, pitch and effects still work as ideas.

Pitch. 2019 official tutorial clip; the current app looks different.
Effects. 2019 official tutorial clip; the current app looks different.

Prefer video? One is official but old; two are independent creators, so check every step against your own app.
Official tutorial, Jun 3, 2019. Old screens; the Start Collab / Join Collab idea matches the official FAQ.
Unofficial 2023 video; the creator says she doesn't work for StarMaker. The newest full English walkthrough I found; menus may have changed.
Unofficial, Feb 13, 2025, Bengali narration; the only recent recharge demo I found. Use it for the flow only, since prices will be out of date.
The bottom line
Least hassle: the App Store, about 60 coins per $1 in the US, the most expensive per coin.
Official web: about 82 per $1 as reported (confirm with your ID), allow about 45 minutes.
Shopping around: Codashop is the documented partner at about 86 per $1. Other shops, ours included, showed about 82 to 102 that day. Verify any seller yourself, compare checkout totals, and remember coins expire after 365 days without a login.
Subscriptions: trust your store's purchase screen over any blog's price list, ours included.
