Xena Live Safety Check (October 2026): A Fair Scorecard, the Scams to Avoid and How to Use the App Without Getting Burned
Is Xena Live safe? Oct 2026 scorecard: scams and agency money requests, game spending limits, privacy settings, first-session steps and account deletion.
Author: Sarah Mitchell Publish at: 2026/10/26 27 min read
Xena Live is a real, store-listed voice-chat app with a named operator, and I found no regulator action against it. The real risks are people and money: agency money requests, chance-based room games and account bans. Install it only from official sources, never pay strangers, and set a coin budget before you open a room. Adults only (18+).
Full disclosure: this article is published on bittopup.com, a third-party top-up store. We are not Xena, and Xena publishes no list of approved resellers. So I've sorted every claim into three buckets: verified (Xena's own pages, the app stores, or data I pulled myself), alleged (what users say, labelled as such) and not found.
Xena Live safety scorecard: verified facts vs allegations
Nobody on Google's first page answers "is Xena Live safe?" in one place. The results for that search are store pages, a generic explainer, a year-old Reddit thread and a complaint site. Here's the balanced version. The last column is my own read, not an official rating.

My risk read
Is it a real app?
Google Play: 10M+ downloads, 3.8★ from about 64.4K ratings. App Store US: 4.2★ from 847 ratings. The Terms of Service name MICO WORLD LIMITED, Hong Kong, as operator.
Some reviewers call it a "scam" (Play 1★ reviews on Oct 23 and 24, 2026). I found no regulator or court action. That isn't proof there is none.
Lower
Malware
Play's data-safety label says data is encrypted in transit, no data is shared with third parties, and you can request deletion.
A Reddit thread (r/Morocco, about a year old) calls it a Trojan, and one Play review (Sep 11, 2026) reports malware links sent by users. The thread snippet I saw offered no technical proof, and I haven't scanned any APK.
Lower from the stores, higher from APK mirrors
Your data
The Privacy Policy (updated 2026.06.25) says it collects account, device and transaction records plus approximate location from IP or SIM, but not card numbers. It also says limited hashed email or phone data goes to Google Ads, Analytics and Firebase for ad attribution.
Nothing alleged that I found.
Medium: read the policy
Account bans
The Terms let Xena terminate accounts without prior notice. No appeal timeline is published.
26 of 51 English Sikayetvar complaints are bans or device blocks (details below).
Medium
People: scams, harassment
The Terms and User Conduct Guideline ban scams, impersonation, paid companionship and exploitative dating. There is an in-app report flow.
A Sep 24, 2026 complaint describes "send money to join the agency" requests. Another (Sep 2) says a harassment report was ignored.
Higher
Spending and games
Coins are final and non-refundable. The App Store listing flags loot boxes. The developer says game results depend on luck.
Reviewers describe large losses on high bets.
Higher
Age
Official rule: 18+ (or local age of majority). Google Play shows Mature 17+.
Turkish X posts in Sep–Oct 2026 claimed minors are present. Unverified.
Medium: not for under-18s
Support
In-app Customer Service plus two contact emails. The developer replies to Play reviews.
Complaints say support is slow or unresponsive. No response times are published.

What I checked, and what I couldn't
Read on Oct 26: Xena's FAQ, Safety page, User Conduct Guideline (dated 2025.6.6), Terms (2024.12.25), Privacy Policy and the official blog.
Pulled: Google Play pages for Xena and 12 similar apps, App Store data for 8 apps, and up to 1,000 of the newest English Play reviews for each of 8 apps.
Sorted: the 51 English complaints listed on Sikayetvar (the page header says 52), by their titles.
Couldn't do: open Xena's web top-up page (it blocked my tools), check Quora or Trustpilot (bot walls), scan an APK, buy anything, or test an agency.
Two caveats up front. Xena's Terms are dated Dec 2024, almost two years old. And complaint sites only show people who were unhappy enough to write.
Is the Xena Live app itself safe to install?
If it comes from Google Play, the App Store or xenalive.com, I found nothing wrong with the app itself. Xena's FAQ says to "always use an official Xena download source". The catch is that Google also shows mirror sites and emulator pages, and they don't all carry the same build.

To spot the real listing: the name is "Xena - Group Voice Party" and the Play package is com.xparty.androidapp. The Play developer shows as Gmancal Studio, and the App Store seller is Derinfy Pte. Ltd (US store, Oct 26). Xena Lite is a different listing from the same Play developer, so check which one you opened.
Fake Xena accounts to ignore
Searching "xena live" on Google puts an Instagram account called @xenalive in the top 9. It belongs to an unrelated person. Xena's staff are not in your DMs, either: the Safety page says they never ask for your password or verification code in a room or private message.

My honest reading: Xena is not a disaster, but it is in the bottom three of these 13 apps on both score and 1-star share. It sits far above SUGO and well below the giants. Its sister app, Xena Lite, rates better.
The App Store tells a kinder story. In the US, Xena scores 4.18 from 847 ratings, against SUGO 2.93, MICO 3.79, YoHo 4.30, Hiya 4.38 and Bigo Live 4.48. Treat that with care: 847 ratings is a small pool next to Play's 64K.
Same app, very different ratings by country
The 1-star share changes a lot depending on which Play storefront you look at. In the Philippines it is 37.9%. In Nigeria it is 8.6%. Xena Lite has a lower 1-star share than Xena in 19 of the 20 storefronts I compared; Bangladesh is the exception.

The data doesn't say why. Different regions, languages, agency activity and rating habits could all play a part. What it does say: a rating of "3.8" hides a 4x gap between countries, so check the reviews from your own region before you judge.
What unhappy reviewers actually write about
I ran a keyword check on the newest 1,000 English reviews per app on Play (for Xena, Apr 19 to Oct 25, 2026). Of Xena's 202 one- and two-star reviews, 32 (15.8%) use scam, fraud or fake wording. That is the biggest theme. Bans come up in only 6 (3.0%) and gambling in 5 (2.5%).

How to read this: I classified reviews by keyword (English plus some Arabic, Turkish and Roman-Urdu terms), not by hand, and one review can hit several themes. The sample covers only what Google's English feed returns, and the time windows differ by app. So compare roughly, never to the decimal. A sarcastic "not a scam" would count too.
One more data point. On the App Store (902 Xena reviews from 20 storefront feeds, Apr 2024 to Oct 2026), 147 are 1–2★. Of those, 28 (19%) use scam or fraud wording and 10 (7%) mention account deletion. Deletion complaints are much rarer on Play, at 1%.
Bans and updates: complaints vs release cadence
Sikayetvar is where people go to write long complaints, and the picture there is different. Of 51 listed English complaints (Oct 2024 to Oct 6, 2026), 26 are about bans, suspensions or device blocks. That's 51%. I assigned themes from each complaint's title, and where the page showed no year I assumed 2026. All of it is self-reported and unverified.
Original chart: BitTopup analysis of the App Store US version history and Sikayetvar's English Xena page, Oct 26, 2026. It shows the last 12 months, 35 of the 51 complaints.

Why do bans dominate there but barely show up in Play reviews (3%)? I can't tell. The likely story is that banned players go looking for a place to appeal. Developer replies on Play ask for the account ID and device details, to be sent to Support. I found no appeal timeline anywhere official.
Now release cadence. Xena shipped 25 iOS versions between Nov 21, 2025 and Sep 10, 2026, a median of 9.5 days apart. None have followed in the 46 days since. Complaint peaks (7 in April, 6 in July) don't line up with release months, so I won't claim one causes the other.

A quiet iOS spell isn't a danger sign by itself. Android got an update on Oct 14. But Xena's iOS app has gone longer without a release than 6 of the other 7 apps here. The App Store only keeps the latest 25 versions, so I can't go back further.
Scams and money requests on Xena Live
This is the part I'd tell a friend first. The app's biggest danger isn't a virus. It's someone in a room asking you for money.
One complaint on Sikayetvar (Sep 24, 2026) is worth quoting as an allegation. The user says people he met in the app told him to "send this amount of money to join the agency", and another asked for money so they could "spend the night together". He says he spent $81 on in-app purchases. I can't verify his account. But the pattern matches what Xena's own rules ban.
Red flag
What Xena's own rules say
What to do
Someone asks for money or coins to "join an agency", "unlock hosting" or "meet"
Coins can't be bought or transferred between users (Terms §5). Paid companionship, exploitative or deceptive dating are banned content
Don't pay. Screenshot, report, block
"Staff" ask for your password or a verification code
Staff never ask for either in a room or private message. Impersonating staff means indefinite suspension
Don't reply. Check through in-app support
Pressure to move to WhatsApp or another off-app channel
The Safety page warns about "pressure to move to unverified channels" in private messages
Stay in the app, or leave the chat
Unknown links, files or forms
Xena says not to open them from accounts you don't trust
Don't tap. Report the account
"Free coins", hacks, generators or mod APKs
No official free-coin generator exists. Phishing is banned. In-app tasks and events are the only free route I could confirm
Skip. This is how accounts get stolen
"Buy an agency" or guaranteed-income pitches
No official page documents buying an agency or any guaranteed pay
See the host and agency section below
Other allegations on Sikayetvar, all unverified: an agency took coins and income (Aug 23, 2026), a permanent ban came after an agency relationship ended (Sep 14), and an agency owner withheld earnings (Dec 23, 2025). One Urdu Play review (Sep 29, 2026) says an agency demanded "2 lac coins" to let the user leave. I haven't confirmed any of these, but together they explain why I'd never let anyone else hold my coins or income.
Watch out for "Xena Protection" reviews
Between Oct 23 and Oct 25, 2026, five identical 5★ Play reviews and one on the Pakistan App Store all praised "Xena Protection" in the same words. The Play ones came 4 minutes to 1 hour apart. I found no official feature with that name, and I can't tell who posted them. So I treat them as unverified and templated, and I'd discount the 5★ reviews around them.
If you've already been scammed
Stop paying, and don't send anything to "recover" your coins.
Screenshot the chat, the profile and any transaction records.
Report the account in-app (menu → Report → reason → details → submit), then block it.
Open Profile → Customer Service → "I want to speak to an agent", the route Xena's developer replies point to. Include your Xena ID.
If you paid through Apple or Google, they processed the payment. Xena's Terms say all recharges are final "unless otherwise agreed by laws and regulations". I can't promise a refund.
Games, loot boxes and spending limits
Xena rooms include chance-based games. That's where "is it gambling?" comes from. I won't label it either way. Here's what's on record.
Question
What I found
Age rating
Google Play: Mature 17+ ("Users Interact, In-App Purchases"). App Store listing: 18+ with loot boxes (its data feed says 17+). Xena's own rule: 18+
Developer's position
In a Play reply on Oct 19, 2026: "Games involve wins and losses, so please spend within your limits." A template on Oct 26 says results are automatic, "depend entirely on luck and probabilities", and that staff can't interfere
Terms on gambling
Content "related to gambling" is banned, and Xena says it reviews reports about "porn, violence, gambling" within 24 hours. That's Xena's claim; I can't test it
Published odds or return rates
Not found on any official page
What reviewers say
An English review (Oct 13, 2026): "It feels like you can lose a lot of money, especially when you place high bets." An Arabic review (Oct 21) says a game called "LUCKY OLYMPUS" has no credibility. Both are allegations
How common is this?
Gambling wording appears in 5 of 202 Xena 1–2★ Play reviews and 4 of 147 on the App Store. Scam or fraud wording is about six times more common on Play
That last row matters. Most unhappy players aren't complaining about the games; they're complaining about being scammed or banned. But the people who do lose money, lose it fast.
My seven spending rules
Set a cap before you open the app. Pick a weekly amount in your own currency and treat it as spent.
Test with the smallest pack. Check the coins arrive before you buy more.
Never chase a loss. If the cap is gone, close the app.
Don't treat games as income. The Terms say coins are "not real money" and can't be exchanged for legal tender.
Never send coins or money to people you met in a room. The Terms ban transfers between users.
Assume every purchase is final. Xena's Terms say it accepts no refund requests.
Check what your country pays. In the 680,000-coin pack, the App Store price on Oct 26 was $0.147 per 1,000 coins in the US and $0.197 in the UK. UK prices include VAT, while US prices show pre-tax. Our earlier piece on the cost per 1,000 coins by channel has the full tables, so I won't repeat them here.
Top-up channels: what Xena's Terms say
You'll see three ways to buy coins. This is where I'm careful, because we sell top-ups ourselves.
Route
What's documented
Watch out for
In-app purchase (Apple or Google)
The Terms say payments are processed by third-party providers such as the iOS App Store and Google Play. Price varies by country and exchange rate
All recharges are final
Xena's web top-up at pay.xenalive.me
Linked from the "Top up" button on xenalive.com. Google lists it as "Xena Online Recharge"
I couldn't open it (it blocked my tools), so I can't tell you its prices or payment methods. Type the address yourself and check it matches exactly
Third-party top-up stores
Xena publishes no reseller list. The Terms prohibit "trading gold coins outside of official channels" and say the account can be banned
Nobody can honestly promise "no bans". Xena hasn't said which channels count
BitTopup's Xena Live top-up page is in that third category. On Oct 26, 2026 it displayed $79.91 for 680,000 coins on its GLOBAL tab and $67.16 on the MENA tab. Pick the tab that matches your account's region. Ignore every crossed-out "list price" and "% OFF" badge on any store, ours included: those are the store's own numbers, not a saving against Apple or Google.
If you can't accept any ban risk, buy inside the app. And a top-up by ID never needs your password. If a site asks for it, close the tab.
How to use Xena Live: your first 10 minutes
The best English walkthrough I found is by the Mr Tech channel. It has no voice-over, just text captions, and it was uploaded in May 2026, so menus may look slightly different today. All the clips below come from Mr Tech's series, sped up and labelled.
Install from the official listing. Search "Xena Group Voice Party", check the developer name, tap Install, then Open. Mr Tech's own caption warns that "many users install fake or duplicate apps by mistake".
Sign in. The Android build in Mr Tech's video offers Google and phone number, plus Facebook, TikTok and Snapchat under "Other login methods". The Terms mention Google, Facebook and phone, and the Privacy Policy mentions Apple ID. The screen links the Terms, Privacy Policy and Conduct Guideline, and it's worth skimming them. Use a unique password and turn on two-step security on whichever account you sign in with.
Handle the permission prompts. Notifications are optional. If you deny the microphone, voice chat may not work later. One device can hold at most 5 Xena accounts.
Fill in your profile. You'll be asked for a nickname, birthday and gender. Enter your real birthdate: Xena is 18+. Xena's own safety blog suggests a nickname that isn't tied to your work profiles or other social accounts.
Pick your interests. The screen says "The system will recommend a suitable room for you." The options are Making Friends, Looking for Relationship, Play with Fun, Live, Chatting, Become the Host and Others. If you only want to talk, I'd skip "Looking for Relationship" and "Become the Host".
Join a room quietly first. Find rooms in the Chat Rooms or Party tab. Tap an open mic seat or request to speak (some rooms need host approval). Mute whenever you aren't talking: Xena's safety blog notes that headphones don't stop your mic from picking up the sound around you.
Learn the Me tab. It shows your Xcoins and Diamonds balances, VIP Center, Noble, Level, Relationship, Store, Backpack, LUDO, My Room, My Xena Card, Customer Service and Settings. There's also a "Join agency and become host" banner. Don't tap it until you've read the agency section below.
A note on "Diamonds": Xena's Terms and both stores talk about coins. The Me tab also shows a Diamonds balance, and I found no official page explaining what it's for. So if anyone sells, promises or "recharges" diamonds, treat that as unverified.
Create your own room. Go to Me → My Room → Room Settings, where you set the name, topic and mic layout (Microphone Count is in the same screen). Some options depend on your account's eligibility. Mr Tech's room-creation clip shows a caption that Xena rooms are for adults only. Xena's Oct 9 hosting guide covers the rest.
Hosts can also remove people from their room. Xena's usage guide lists kick-outs of 3, 6 or 24 hours, and a room owner can reverse kicks made by administrators.
Xena Live privacy settings, and the VIP 8 catch
The privacy toggle most people want is "Hide Country or Region". It sits behind VIP 8. Xena's two Oct 12, 2026 blog posts list these requirements under Settings → Privacy:

Here's the catch: I found no official page saying what it costs to reach VIP 2, 8 or 14. Anyone quoting a dollar figure for VIP 8 is quoting a seller, not Xena. Mr Tech's clip shows an "Upgrade to VIP8" popup when you tap Hide Country on a lower-level account.
Xena's tools do different jobs. Mute stops one person's audio for you. Block stops direct contact, but Xena's blog warns it doesn't remove them from a shared room. Report asks the moderation team to review. Leave ends your part immediately.

Add useful evidence: the account involved, where it happened and roughly when. Xena says urgent concerns are prioritised, but I found no published response times. One Sikayetvar complaint (Sep 2, 2026) alleges a harassment report was ignored. That's one user's account, not a finding.
Parents: the service is for adults only. Xena's Privacy Policy tells parents to report a minor's account to contact@xenalive.me.
How hosts earn on Xena, and what agencies are: what's documented
"How to earn on Xena app?" is one of Google's related questions. Most answers come from recruiter videos and seller blogs full of exact percentages. I'm not repeating any of them, because none traces back to a Xena page. Here's what is and isn't on record.

Treat any such promise as unverified
My plain-English version: gifts can turn into money for hosts, but the rules for how, how much and through whom aren't published where I can read them. So before you join any agency:
Never pay to join, to stay or to leave. Asking for coins is also against the Terms.
Get the terms in writing, including who pays you, when, and how you leave.
Don't let an agency hold your coins or sign in as you. Selling or sharing accounts is banned.
Be wary of "buy an agency" videos. One I saw (Jan 2026) has a pinned pitch asking viewers to comment "ZENA" to be guided personally. That's a sales funnel, not documentation.
Check eligibility inside the app first. Availability depends on region and account status.
How to delete your Xena account
The steps below come from Section 1 of the Terms (last updated 2024.12.25). Read the forfeiture warning first.
Spend or sort out anything you care about before deleting. Once deletion succeeds, you give up your virtual coins and gifts.
Sign in, then open Settings and choose "Delete Account", provided you meet the notice shown on the logout page.
You have 7 days after deactivation to restore the account and profile in full. After that, assume it's gone.
If the option is missing, the FAQ says to contact Xena Support. Your Play data-safety label also says you can request data deletion.
Users report a snag. Five Sikayetvar complaints say deletion was refused or ignored. One Turkish App Store review (Aug 5, 2026) says an agency owner wouldn't release him, and a Saudi review (Mar 5, 2026) says he was asked to cancel an agency ID first. Those are user reports; no official page documents an agency "blocker". There's a step-by-step clip as well: "How to Delete Account in Xena Group Voice Party" by Mr Tech (Jun 3, 2026).
Xena vs Xena Lite: what is the Lite app?
Xena Lite is a separate Google Play app from the same developer. Treat it as its own app.

I found no official statement that accounts or coins carry over between the two apps. So confirm which app your account lives in before you buy anything.
Three company names and five web addresses: who is behind Xena?
"What is xenalive?" is another related question, and the confusion is real. The same app shows different names depending on where you look.

I'd read these as one product with several legal and technical names, but I can't prove how they're related beyond what the listings say. If a site that isn't on this list claims to be Xena, be careful.
What's new on Xena this month (October 2026)
Most pages still talk about a "Spring 2026" event that ended long ago. Here is what's current as of Oct 26.
Android: 2.4.2.1 on Google Play, updated Oct 14. The notes say performance and bug fixes.
iPhone: 2.4.01 (Sep 10), about more reliable message sending and receiving.
Xena Lite: updated on Google Play on Oct 22.
Counts: Play 64.4K reviews, 3.8★. App Store US 847 ratings, 4.2★.
Xena's official blog has 7 posts, all dated Oct 9 to Oct 21. None of them showed up on Google's first page in the searches I captured.
Xena's official event page says Mystic Blend runs for Pakistan and India accounts from Oct 24 to Oct 31 on a UTC+5 clock. In UTC+8 that is 03:00 on Oct 24 to 02:59 on Nov 1. Using Xena in English doesn't set your event region, so check the event page in the app. If it says "Not eligible to participate", contact in-app support.
You collect five ingredients (Rose, Mint, Amber, Sandalwood, Iris) through in-app tasks, then blend any three for a reward. Rose gives a higher chance of Xcoins, not a guarantee. Each blend adds 1 leaderboard point.

Read the safety angle too. Odds, Xcoin amounts per blend and any cost to enter are not published. A possible physical prize (a 30 ml bottle of YSL Black Opium) is shown as a "possible reward" with no guarantee. Anything with random rewards and unpublished odds deserves your spending cap. Google Play lists a similar event, "The Perfumer's Secret", ending around Oct 31. I think it's the Play name for the same event, but that's my inference.
Quick answers about Xena Live
What is Xena Live?
A free voice-chat party app for adults. Stores list it as "Xena - Group Voice Party", with voice rooms, PK team battles, Ludo, gifts and VIP perks. It's for Android and iOS only.
Is the Xena app free?
Yes to download and chat. You only pay if you buy coins. Features can vary by account, region, device and app version.
What is the use of the Xena app?
Talking in group voice rooms, making friends, hosting your own room, playing in-room games and competing in PK battles. Coins buy gifts, decorations and VIP privileges.
How do I purchase Xena coins?
Inside the app through Apple or Google, via Xena's web top-up, or through a third-party store such as our Xena Live top-up page. Read the channel table above first. Xena Live coins are in-app items with no cash value, not a cryptocurrency, and I'm not covering any crypto token that happens to share the name.
Why does Google show $0.54 for the 3,350-coin pack?
Google's AI Overview for "xena live coins" cites Codashop's $0.54. The US App Store price was $0.49 on Oct 22, and different channels charge different amounts.
How to earn on the Xena app?
Hosts can receive gifts, but payout rules aren't published. See the host and agency section above, and never pay anyone to start.
What is the best free live chat app?
I can't name one. In my table, Tango and Bigo Live have the best Play ratings, but a rating isn't a safety score, and all of these apps sell in-app purchases.
What is the Xena Lite app?
A separate Google Play app from the same developer, rated 4.25 on Play. See the Xena vs Xena Lite table above.
Can I use Xena Live on PC?
Not officially. The FAQ lists Android and iOS only. The BlueStacks "PC and Mac" page is an emulator listing dated Aug 25, 2025, not something Xena published.
Can I get my coins back?
Unlikely. The Terms say all recharges are final and no refunds are accepted, "unless otherwise agreed by laws and regulations".
What if my account is banned or locked?
Contact Support from another accessible account with your Xena ID. The developer's replies ask for the account ID, device details and screenshots. No appeal timeline is published.
My verdict: should you use Xena Live?
If you're an adult and you install from the official stores, yes: it's a real voice-chat app, and I found no evidence it's a scam. Just go in with your eyes open. Keep your spending capped, keep your money and coins away from strangers and agencies, and report anyone who asks. When any number sounds too good, ask where it comes from, because for payouts, VIP costs and game odds, Xena hasn't published it.
