Former COD series general manager Johanna Faries becomes Blizzard’s new president

[Former "COD" series general manager Johanna Faries becomes Blizzard's new president] A few days ago we reported that Microsoft carried out a large-scale layoff after acquiring Activision Blizzard (mainly involving various Blizzard departments). Today it was officially announced that Johanna Faries will replace Mike Ybarra becomes Blizzard's new president, effective February 15. Johanna Faries joined Activision in 2018 and served as the head of the "COD" esports department. In 2021, she became the general manager of this best-selling game series. It also surprised many people that an Activision executive became the president of Blizzard. Faries said in a letter to internal employees: "Activision, Blizzard and King have different games, cultures and communities. The services we provide to players ( "COD") and Blizzard games are indeed different. I have discussed these with Blizzard executives. As we start to push the product to the next level, I will enter the new role with these issues and respect for Blizzard. !" Johanna Faries also announced this on her personal social media, and said that in addition to "COD", she also often plays "Diablo 4".
