● Embalmer – Chroma [A-Tier (Rare)]
The style is subtly luxurious. You can never go wrong with black and navy blue! He’s dressed in a neatly tailored leather trench coat with exquisite gradients and patterns. The hem is as beautiful as the night sky, sparkling with starlike specks. The sleeves are wrapped with many leather straps as decoration. Underneath, he wears a shirt and suspenders — giving off strong lab technician vibes.
On the left collar and suitcase, there are glass-like textures that subtly evoke the image of a greenhouse. The developers clearly love adding glass elements to the Embalmer’s designs. His hand-held item and coffin are also intricately detailed, featuring an engraving of a round and chubby “Little Snow” cat — it’s clear that Karl is a certified cat lover.
Floating behind Little Snow is a small black ghost — this “Roshomon Cat” is quite adorable. Even the cat has a stand now? At this rate, it looks like everyone in the game will get one eventually.
The skin also features beautiful garters and pointed leather shoes — it’s basically peak elegance! Even with the garters tied up so high, people only care about whether Karl’s circulation is okay. It’s just a color variant... (Wolf King sits cross-legged in silence.)
In terms of body proportions, Karl and Chroma appear roughly the same — only the head shape differs a bit. Currently, only the three-view of Chroma has been released, not the full model, so it’s unlikely to reuse the anniversary gift box model. But if they do reuse it, there’s nothing to worry about — Karl’s face and proportions are already perfect! Finally, the Embalmer has his own “Black and White.”
The three-part trench coat hem is likely to animate similarly to the Joker skin (Acrobat) or Lucid Detective (Prisoner). The English on the waist and the spider brooch symbolize the Uriel family, whose connection to the Melodys still remains a mystery.
● Accessory – Covenant [B-Tier (Rare)]
This rare accessory takes the form of a necklace — a shape we rarely see. Even though Identity V’s item placement system accepts “anything anywhere,” it would still be best worn around the neck.
Since this is an anniversary skin for the global version, it won’t return directly in the Chinese server next year — you'll need to participate in the return vote!
