First of all, March 7th’s alternate form is finally here! However, her name has been changed—she’s now officially called “Changye Yue” (Long Night Moon). The creature next to her appears to be her summon, and it really is a jellyfish. Looks like this lines up with what players had previously speculated.
“March of Unpharos belongs to the time veiled by eternal night… Let this incarnation be called ‘Long Night Moon’—the shadow of ‘her.’”
In the Memory Zone isolated from the world, candlelight reflects the past, then fades quietly into the mist.
Born from that shadow, Long Night Moon is a golden descendant carrying the fire of ‘Time,’ here to stir the tides of ‘Forgetfulness’ and protect the wishes of the one in the mirror.
“Don’t worry, I’ll watch over your path of ‘Trailblazing’… no matter the cost♭”
(Wow, did they actually use a musical symbol in the tagline?)
Just as I was waiting for the new splash art to drop, my internet started lagging. Could it be that March 7th’s popularity is too much to handle? What do you think of this splash art, fellow Trailblazers?
As for her model, it was already shown in the preview PV! She really looks like a dark version now. And you know what? Most players are actually into this kind of design. That opening scene seems to show her “consuming” Unpharos. With that in mind, our darkened mascot girl is definitely no ordinary character.
Although she looks more like a villain now, according to the story, she’s always been following the Trailblazer. It’ll be interesting to see how the trio reacts when they reunite. Seems like the only one still without a new outfit is the Trailblazer.
As for Long Night Moon’s mechanics, there’s also new insider info. Based on current speculation, she’s likely to be an HP-scaling sub-DPS for Robin teams. In deep testing, every prebuilt team that includes Long Night Moon also includes Robin. If that’s true, then she’s a must-pull (not that we weren’t planning to already).
That said, what are your thoughts on March 7th’s new model and splash art?
