TOP 5: Koleda
Though Koleda is classified as a Defensive unit, she also brings solid rapid-switch Break capabilities. Her shield strength scales with Impact, making her an all-rounder in various scenarios.
Her signature W-Engine, Rushing Fang, provides a rare and powerful Impact boost — currently the only Defense-type W-Engine that does so. On top of that, it offers:

This allows Koleda to handle high-pressure environments with ease and gives her team-wide utility. Without this W-Engine, she’s often forced to use Break-type engines instead — far from optimal.
TOP 4: Ben Bigger (Trigger)
As a Break unit in pursuit comps, Trigger is surprisingly flexible. He deals decent off-field damage and provides full-phase Disruption Vulnerability, which pairs extremely well with on-field DPS characters. What’s more, he can contribute significant damage even before the enemy is unbalanced.
Trigger’s performance scales heavily with Crit Rate — you’ll need over 90% Crit to fully benefit from his transformation mechanic. That’s where his signature W-Engine, Spectral Glaze, comes in:

Ellen is currently the second-strongest main DPS in the game, just behind Miyabi. Her playstyle is flexible — relying on frequent Chain Attacks and Ultimates — and she can slot into both burst-break teams and solo-core comps.
While the A-rank W-Engine Sulfur Stone is decent for her, Heartstring Nocturne, her signature, is on another level:

Miyabi is the undisputed queen of DPS in Zenless Zone Zero. Although she’s classified as an Anomaly unit, her main output comes from direct damage, and most Anomaly W-Engines don’t suit her at all.
Her signature W-Engine, Falling Star Palace, provides:
Crit Rate to help hit the 80% benchmark for transformation
+50% Crit Damage at R1
+40% Damage after stacking Strong E or Anomaly twice
These stats are absolutely insane, and no alternative W-Engine comes close. If you want to maximize Miyabi, this weapon is a must-have — hands down the most valuable signature in the game right now.
