Updated on 2026-08-28: Version 4.0 listed about 34 nodes in Beryl and the Court of Fontaine. Later Fontaine patches and Natlan added many more. A full world is hundreds of crystals. Nod-Krai weapons use Rainbowdrop Crystal. That is a different ore.

Every Fontaine and Natlan 4-star craftable costs 50 Condessence Crystals to forge, plus 50 White Iron Chunks and one matching billet. Each diagram also costs 10 crystals and two local materials.

Natlan weapons at Alom (Stadium of the Sacred Flame)
Alom sells Flute of Ezpitzal, Earth Shaker, Footprint of the Rainbow, Ring of Yaxche, and Chain Breaker. Each diagram is 10 Condessence Crystals plus two Natlan materials. Forging costs 50 crystals, 50 White Iron Chunks, and one Borderland Billet.
How to mine Condessence Crystals
Put Ningguang in the party. Her Trove of Marvelous Treasures passive marks nearby forging ore on the minimap, including underwater veins you would swim past.
On land, swing a Claymore or drop a Geo construct. Zhongli's pillar, Geo Traveler constructs, and plunges all break nodes.
Unlock diving at any Fontaine Statue of the Seven before you farm water.
Underwater, hold Normal Attack on a Xenochromatic Armored Crab (the blue crab). The skill becomes a shockwave with about a 2-second cooldown and clears a cluster in one pulse.
Stay on underwater waypoints once you hold a xenochromatic skill. Landing or logging out drops some of those skills.
In Natlan, skip the crab. Walk the Tequemecan Valley and later coasts with the same land kit.
Buy Imix's 10 crystals every 3 days if you are already in the Children of Echoes.
Ningguang marks veins on the minimap. A pinned route works without her. Bring the crab skill for Fontaine water.

Underwater: Dragon Skull and the trench
The skull-shaped rock in Beryl is the landmark. Dive into the jaws and break the stack on the seabed with the crab shockwave. A clean pass takes about two minutes.
For volume, teleport to the underwater waypoint south of the main Beryl water and swim north along the trench. That single path holds about 22 crystals.
Thalatta Submarine Canyon adds 5 after the Seelie puzzle. Romaritime Harbor, south of Denouement of Sin, adds 4.
If you want a long session, start under the Fontaine Research Institute and hop only underwater waypoints through Liffey, Erinnyes, and Morte. That later-patch water is why a "34 crystal" world is outdated.
Natlan nodes and the Imix shop
Natlan reused Condessence Crystal instead of adding a new forging ore. Most land nodes sit in Tequemecan Valley, with more along later coasts in groups of two or more near water.
Imix in the Children of Echoes sells 10 Condessence Crystals for 1,500 Mora each and restocks every 3 days. That is 10 extra crystals with no timer tracking.
Alom at the Stadium of the Sacred Flame takes the same 10-crystal diagram fee as Estelle. Forge cost is 50.
Nod-Krai craftables from Lyulka use Rainbowdrop Crystal. Do not spend Condessence on those diagrams.
How to finish an R5 faster
One thorough Fontaine cycle, land plus later water, covers hundreds of crystals. That is enough for an R5 of one weapon (260) in a single world if you clear the later patches. The old "8 cycles and 24 days" math treated 34 nodes as 34 crystals.
Co-op skips your own timer. Ask before you mine. Offer your world in return.
Fontaine Adventurer's Guild expeditions do not drop Condessence Crystal. They drop Tidalga, Bulle Fruit, Pluie Lotus, Marcotte, and food mats. Send those runs for diagram side materials, not for ore.

How often do Condessence Crystals respawn?
Each node returns 72 hours after you mine it, on its own clock. Nodes do not reset together. Pair the timer with Crystal Chunk routes if you already farm those every three days.
Where should you farm first?
Clear the Beryl Dragon Skull and the 22-crystal trench, then the Elynas hot spring. After that, stay on underwater waypoints through the Research Institute and later Fontaine water. Add Tequemecan Valley and Imix's shop when you are in Natlan.
How many crystals does an R5 cost?
50 to forge each copy, 10 for the diagram if you do not own it. Five copies is 250, plus 10, so 260 from zero. The 250 figure in older guides skipped the diagram.
Can you farm other players' worlds?
Yes. Co-op ignores your world's timer. Ask first.
Do Fontaine expeditions give Condessence Crystals?
No. Use expeditions for the local plants on Estelle's diagrams.
